If we emailed you and you never asked us to

Last changed: 22 August 2026

This page exists because we sent you something you did not ask for. Article 14 of the GDPR says you are owed an explanation when a company holds your data without having got it from you, and the explanation should be short enough to actually read.

Who is writing

EZIOM SAS, which operates ActCovered. Our contact address for anything on this page is hello@actcovered.com, and a human reads it.

Where your address came from

From your own website — a contact, legal or careers page where it is published for people to write to. We did not buy a list, we did not scrape a social network, and we did not guess the address from a pattern. The message you received names the exact page we took it from, and names the public job posting that brought us to your company in the first place.

What we hold

Your company's name and domain, the public job posting, the page the address was published on, your email address, and the message we drafted for you. Nothing else, and nothing about you personally beyond a business address.

Why we are allowed to

Legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f): writing to a business address, published for that purpose, about an obligation that plausibly applies to that business. We weighed that against the obvious intrusion and kept the balance in your favour in three ways — the message says who we are and where the address came from, it can be stopped in one click with no reply needed, and we do not follow up more than the sequence described below.

If you think the balance is wrong in your case, say so and we will remove you on your word alone. We will not ask you to justify it.

How to make it stop

Every message we send carries a one-click unsubscribe link in its footer. Clicking it stops everything immediately and permanently: your address goes on a suppression list that every send is checked against, so you cannot be picked up again by a later campaign.

Replying with "stop" works just as well, and so does writing to hello@actcovered.com. You never have to explain why.

The suppression list keeps a one-way hash of your address rather than the address itself. That is deliberate: it is the only way to honour "never contact me again" without keeping a readable copy of the data you asked us to stop using.

How long we keep it

12 months from the day we added you, and less than that if you tell us to stop — in which case everything but the suppression hash goes immediately.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, and object to the processing outright. Write to hello@actcovered.com and we will answer within a month, usually within a day. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr) or to the supervisory authority where you live.

No automated decisions

We score companies to decide who to write to, and a human reads every message before it is sent. The scoring has no legal effect on you and produces nothing but a decision about whether we write.
